i was curious about this battle because i was reading in a book about it and that the basic thing that happens in the movie happened in reallife, however a lot of the more detailed things like tarlenton and general lord cornwallis being there and stuff didn't. but is it true that the basic part of the militia retreated and then "tricking" the redcoats really did happen. becase if it did that is realy neat how that played out so well into the movie.

Well, Wendy,
I have some analysis of the movie's final battle and its historical origins in the Fact or Fiction section. Check that out, because there's more info there than can be posted here.

oh thanks, scott. i think it's really neat the we really did "trick" the redcoats in real life. it's kind of fun how that could play out in the movie. original content and design Copyright © 1999-2019; Scott Cummings, All Rights Reserved. Privacy Statement
