9/13/05 - Ben-Hur, winner of 11 Oscars ®, has been newly remastered from the original 65mm film elements for a 4-Disc DVD Collector's Set, which boasts more than 10 hours of bonus features including an all-new documentary on the film's influence with leading filmmakers, a making-of documentary hosted by Christopher Plummer, scene specific commentary by Charlton Heston, rare screen tests, a reproduction of the original theatrical souvenir program, plus the 1925 silent version of the film.

9/3/05 - Hurricane Katrina
Because PatriotResource.com is based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, updates to the website have been disrupted for more than a week. Our own close friends, family and work were not severely affected by the hurricane. Though Baton Rouge itself only suffered isolated wind damage and power outages, the ongoing relief efforts for the areas to the east and southeast are taxing Baton Rouge. As a result, updates may be sporadic in spite of our efforts to return to many of the regular routines of life as a comfort for our own families.

His well-paced, carefully conceived, and vivid writing style makes for a compelling read from the first page to the last, as he alternates between his incredible modern quest, and the ancient tale of the Roman occupation of Germany (based upon actual finds from the battlefield) that ultimately ended so tragically in the peat bogs of Kalkriese.
