you know what's weird i've only found reallly bad review i read on the internet. most of the people i talk to say they think it's great movie one of the best, but i know what you mean for some reason a lot of reviews i read are like it was okay but they shouldn't have the boys shooting and stuff. but i went onto this site (crosswalk.com) and read all the good revies (the ones with the most stars) and colleted a lot of cool info and input on the actions in the movie. i'll post them later. :0)
: Hi all,
: I have some questions I'd like to propose. Like we know, The Patriot has
been savagely atacked by some critics on account of the treatment Emmerich
gave to the story, choosing to tell a revenge tale rather then trying a more
insightful approach on the war itself (their opinion, not mine). This has
me thinking. Had Rodat's script been given to other director, such as Steven
Spielberg or Michael Mann (Last of the Mohicans), would they have worked it
differently? How? Would it have made the movie any "better", from the critics
point of view? "What comparison can be made between The Patriot and Saving
Private Ryan, another Rodat's script? Any opinions?
