Charlie's younger brother was the lead singer of Driveshaft. When Charlie had begun religious studies, Liam convinded him to give the band one last chance. As they toured, the fame got to Liam, who was enjoying the drugs and women. Charlie at first resisted and then ended up succumbing to heroin. Charlie was in Australia, visiting Liam in an attempt to revive the band. Liam, however, had no interest. He had cleaned up, had a wife and a young child that he was now responsible for.
