League
Condemnation of Attacks
September 13, 2001
The League of Arab States has strongly condemned Tuesday's terrorist operations
targeting the United States of America. In a statement issued in Cairo today
after an emergency meeting of permanent representatives headed by Secretary-General
Amr Moussa, the Arab League Council denounced these attacks against innocent
people, and expressed condolences to and solidarity with the American people
and the families of the victims. The Council noted that terrorism is an international
phenomenon that is against all peoples including Arab peoples, and stressed
the international community's responsibility in confronting it.
