Locke says that his father stole his kidney.

Helen doesn't want Locke to go to his father's house.

Locke's father says he wasn't the first to get conned.

Helen throws Locke's car keys into Cooper's yard.

Henry Gale is found.

Ana Lucia gets Gale to draw a map.

Gale comes up with an idea for how drawing a map would lure some survivors out for an ambush.

Flashback #1:
Locke gets a ring out of a drawer.

Flashback #1 Con't:
Locke is in the kitchen where he fixes a picnic basket. Helen wants to know what he's got in mind. He tells her to sit down and read the obituaries. Helen reads Cooper's obituary and tells Locke about it.

In the Hatch, Jack tells Gale to draw another map. Gale says that he made it up. Locke says that it's too late anyway. Jack tells Locke to put Gale back in the armory and leaves. Gale asks Locke why he lets Jack talk to him that way. Locke gets up, grabs Gale and forcibly puts Gale back in the armory.

In the rain, Ana Lucia and Sayid argue about continuing to search for the balloon. He says that it's been three hours and they haven't found it. Ana Lucia wants to know why Gale would draw a map. Sayid says he's buying time. Charlie calls them.

Charlie is in front of a grave. He says that Gale said that he buried his wife. Ana Lucia wants to know why it's not raining on the grave. They find the balloon.

Act 1:
On the beach, Jack walks up to Hurley. Hurley tells Jack that Ana Lucia and Sayid left yesterday. Hurley says that he's not in the loop. Claire walks up and asks Jack to check Aaron.

Back her tent, Jack tells Claire that Aaron is back in good health. As Jack starts to leave, Libby says that she has a pulled muscle. Jack recommends Neosporin, but Sawyer wants 10 loads of laundry.

Locke rides the exercise bike and listens to music in the Hatch, when he hears some chatter. He turns off the music and checks through the hatch. He finds a loudspeaker and tries to tune it. It gives him a blast of feedback.

Gale hears it and calls out, asking Locke what happened.

Locke just looks at the loudspeaker.

Flashback #2:
Locke and Helen drive up to the cemetery. She wants to know if he's sure he wants to do it. She jokes that he might have left Locke his kidney.

Flashback #2 Con't:
Locke listens to the priest preside over the funeral. He notices a car nearby. Locke stands up and says that he forgives Cooper. The car drives off.

In the Hatch, the garbled loudspeaker continues.

Gale calls out several times, wanting to know what is going on.
Locke tells him to shut up, because Gale is drowning out the faint message on the loudspeaker. Gale doesn't. Locke moves over to the armory door and tells him again to shut up. The loudspeaker finally clears up enough for Locke to make out a countdown in its final seconds. The blast doors then come down, sealing Locke and Gale inside the Hatch.

Gale weakly asks about what just happened.

Act 2:
Hurley and Sawyer play poker. Sawyer tells Hurley that he has to call or lay them down. Jack walks up and tells Hurley not to call because Sawyer has a flush as opposed to his baby straight. Kate asks Jack to tell her what she has. He says she's just playing for fun. Jack starts to head back to the Hatch, but Sawyer calls him out. Jack agrees to play a couple hands.

In the Hatch, Gale wants to know what is going on.

Locke tells him that nothing is going wrong.

Flashback #3:
Locke stands outside a house and gives the report of his inspection to a woman. He says the house is good for her and her husband. She says she has no husband.

Flashback #3 Con't:
Locke walks back to his truck, when he notices the same car again. He walks over to the car and the window rolls down. It's Cooper.

Flashback #3 Con't:
Locke and Cooper sit in a bar. Cooper apologizes for taking Locke's kidney. He says that he killed himself, because there are two men that are after him. He says that he took them for $700,000 in a retirement con. He wants Locke to go to a bank and retrieve the money. Locke doesn't buy it. Cooper gives him the safe deposit box key and says that he'll understand if he never sees Locke again.

In the Hatch, Locke tells Gale that they are sealed in. Locke wants Gale's help.

Gale wants to know what will happen to him. He wants Locke's word that he'll protect him from the other survivors.

Locke opens the armory up and asks Gale who he is. Gale repeats his story of being from Minnesota and having crashed on the island. Locke then gives Gale his word.

Act 3:
Hurley, Jack, Sawyer and Kate play poker. Hurley and Kate bow out. Jack beats Sawyer and has taken him for all the fruit. Sawyer wants to up the stakes for one more hand and wants Jack to name the stakes. Jack says that he'll play for the medicine that Sawyer took from the Hatch.

Locke and Gale put a bar under one of the blast doors and manage to pry up the door. Locke gets Gale to put a toolbox under the door. Locke starts to crawl under the door, when the toolbox gives way. The door comes down on his legs. Gale puts a number of weights under the door.

Flashback #4:
Locke looks at a box full of money.

Flashback #4 Con't:
Locke walks into the house in a great mood. Helen clues him in to some visitors. One introduces himself as Jimmy Bane. He wants to know if Locke has see Cooper, because Bane doesn't believe that Cooper is alive. Helen gets angry and says that Cooper put Locke through some misery. Bane wants to look in Locke's bag. They dump it out and don't find any money. They leave. Helen wants to know if he was lying to the two men. Locke tells her that he was scared.

Jack and Sawyer talk. Sawyer makes small talk about Jack's travels to the Far East and his tattoos. Jack tells Sawyer to deal again, from the top of the deck this time.

In the Hatch, Locke tells Gale to climb into a grate by the pantry. He tells him to go to the computer room and punch in the numbers in the computer. Gale walks over and starts to climb up to the grate. He loses his balance, falls and apparently is knocked out. Locke calls after him with no response. The computer cursor begins beeping as Locke continues to call Gale.

Act 4:
Hurley watches Sawyer and Jack play poker from a distance with a set of binoculars. Libby wants to know what is going on.

Sawyer raises Jack some more of the medicine. Jack says that he's all in. Jack says that Sawyer won't go all in because there are people watching. Sawyer calls and finds that he has been beaten by a pair of nines. Jack says that he'll be back for the medicine. Saywer wants to know why Jack didn't play for the guns. Jack says that he'll get the guns when he wants them and walks off.

In the Hatch, Gale comes back around. Locke urges him to get up and get into the computer room. The alarm starts beeping and Gale doesn't answer Locke's calls.

Flashback #5:
Locke climbs out of his truck outside a hotel.

Flashback #5 Con't:
Locke knocks on a hotel door. Cooper answers and Locke goes inside.

Flashback #5 Con't:
Locke throws the bag on the table. Cooper opens it to find the money. Cooper takes the money out. He asks about Helen. Locke says that he's going to ask her to marry him that night. Cooper puts the money on the table. Locke says that he didn't do it for the money. Cooper leaves the money and starts to leave. Cooper opens the door to find Helen standing there. She tells him off and slaps him. She then leaves. Locke goes after her.

Flashback #5 Con't:
Locke catches up with her in the parking lot. Helen says that she lied to him. Locke says that he was going to tell her and he wasn't going to take the money. He gets down on one knee, shows her the ring and asks her to marry him. She shakes her head, climbs in her car and drives off. Cooper climbs in the cab and drives off as well. Lock stands there, holding the ring.

In the Hatch, the alarm continues to go off. The machinery starts up and then the lights go off. Suddenly the ceiling above Locke is illuminated by symbols. After a few minutes, the lights come back on and the blast doors rise back up.

Locke crawls into the computer room and sees that the counter is back to 107 minutes. Gale walks in and Locke is happy to see that Gale came back. Gale comments that Locke didn't seem to think that he was coming back. Gale helps Locke stand up. Locke tells him thank you and Gale says, "You're welcome, John."

Act 5:
In the dark, Kate catches up with Jack. She wants to know if he's heading to the Hatch, which he affirms. She says that she hasn't had a shower in a while. Jack says that the plumbing is broken. She says that she wasted a trip. She then says that she's glad that he beat Sawyer. Jack says that the Hatch can wait and he can walk her back to the beach. They then notice a blinking light.

Jack and Kate follow it to find a parachute. Kate notices that it was food. Just then, Sayid, Charlie and Ana Lucia appear.

In the Hatch, Gale helps Locke prop his legs up. He tells Locke that he punched in the numbers, but nothing happened. Sayid, Charlie, Jack and Ana Lucia walk in. Sayid holds the gun on Gale and tells him to get away from Locke. Locke says that he let Gale out and Gale helped him. Gale wants to know if they found it. Ana Lucia says that they found it. Sayid walks over to Gale and says that they found the balloon just where he described it and the grave of his wife that he dug with his bare hands. Sayid says that he still didn't believe it, so he dug up the grave and found a man. Sayid shows Gale an I.D. and says that the man in the grave was named Henry Gale.
