Balrog (Flame of Udûn)
Balrog (Durin's Bane) In The Two Towers:
The film opens with the sequence between the Balrog and Gandalf on the Bridge of Khazad-dûm. As they fall, Gandalf retrieves his sword and battles the Balrog. They fall into an underground lake.
Later, after Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas find Gandalf in Fangorn Forest, he relates what happened. He and the Balrog battled up the Endless Stair to Durin's Tower on the peak of Zirakzigil. There, he finally smote the Balrog before he himself died.
