Boone appears to be self-sufficient and willing to help out, although he is unusually close to his step-sister, Shannon. He
becomes fiercely loyal to Locke, helping him keep the discovery of the hatch a secret. Boone ends up being mortally injured when he tries to use the radio in an aircraft that he and Locke had found.
