The Return of the King:
As Frodo, Sam and Gollum begin to make their way up the Winding Stair just outside Minas Morgul, the Witchking departs from the city riding a Fell Beast.
When Osgiliath is overrun by the Orc army, several Nazgûl riding Winged Beasts harass the retreating Gondorians until Gandalf rides out onto Pelennor Fields and drives them off.
The Nazgûl riding Winged Beasts inspire terror within the city of Minas Tirith when the siege begins. After the Rohirrim arrive, Eowyn slays the Witchking's fell steed and then kills him with Merry's help.
At the final battle at the Black Gate of Mordor, the Nazgûl riding Winged Beasts are in the battle, but neutralized when the Eagles arrive.
