The Nazgûl set out from Minas Morgul in search of Baggins and the One Ring. They nearly corner the Hobbits at Buckleberry Ferry and try to kill them in their sleep in the Prancing Pony at Bree. Frodo is wounded at Weathertop and they pursue he and Arwen down the East Road to the Ford of Bruinen. A Nazgûl flies over the Dead Marshes and then later, Frodo nearly hands the Ring over to one at Osgiliath. The Nazgûl participate in the attacks on Osgiliath and Minas Tirith and the last stand at the Black Gate of Mordor.
