Gondor is the ancient kingdom of Men. It lies near Mordor, the land ruled by Sauron. Gondor has long been ruled by Stewards since the death of the last King of Gondor. Denethor II is the current Steward and Boromir and Faramir are his sons. Aragorn is the last heir to Isildur and the throne of Gondor.
