Farmer Maggot's Field:
- Appears in The Fellowship of the Ring
As Frodo and Sam begin their journey out of The Shire, Frodo decides to stay off the main roads so that they do not draw attention. One of their shortcuts take them through Farmer Maggot's Field where they run into (actually, are run into by) Merry and Pippin. Merry and Pippin have pilfered some of Farmer Maggot's vegetables and are in a rush. The four Hobbits then flee out of the field, litterally tumbling off the edge of field down a steep hill.
