The Lord of the Rings Middle Earth Places: Hobbiton
Hobbiton:
- Appears in The Fellowship of the Ring and The Return of the King
Hobbiton is located in The Shire. Bag End, the home of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, is located in Hobbiton. Their gardener, Sam Gamgee, and his father, the Gaffer, live just up the road from Bag End. Hobbiton is populated by easy-going Hobbits. Hobbiton is disturbed by the occasional arrival of Gandalf on his way to visit Bag End.
The talk of all Hobbiton is Bilbo's eleventy-first (111th) birthday party. Following their return from their adventure, Frodo, Merry, Pippin and Sam struggle to settle back in. Sam has some success as he marries Rosie Cotton and they start a family.
