Lord of the Rings Rings & Things: Elven Cloaks
Elven Cloaks:
- Appears in The Fellowship of the Ring,The Two Towers and The Return of the King
These Elven cloaks were gifts to the Fellowship from Galadriel. The cloaks helped the Fellowship stay unseen when desired.
In The Two Towers:
The best example of what the Cloaks could do took place outside the Black Gate of Mordor. Frodo had started to move toward the gate when Sam tried to stop him and they both ended up slipping on the rocks. Sam got stuck and Frodo attempted to pull him free. However, the noise drew the attention of a couple of Easterlings who were entering the Black Gate. Frodo threw his Elven Cloak over both of them and the Easterlings saw nothing more than a boulder where the Hobbits were.
