Gunfight at the O.K. Corral is a John Sturges-directed version of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday. It ends with an elongated shootout at the O.K. Corral along with other liberties with history. Obviously, it has a high-profile billing even now with stars Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas along with a pre-Star Trek DeForest Kelley and young Dennis Hopper. It injects relationship conflicts for both Earp and Holliday, along with the conflict with the Clanton gang.
