Premise:
Survivors of a plane crash learn to live with each other and also struggle against the dangers of the mysterious island itself.
Comments:
The show's original hype was concerning the science fiction elements of the mystery of the island itself. However, the show is so strongly character driven and reliant on the personal flashback that's it's as much drama as action or science fiction. Being character driven has given the show over forty (the number of survivors) backstories to explore in addition to the island's mysteries, which should give it plenty of material to have a long run.
