Episode 2: Rebirth; 1/29/2010 1/24/10: Comedian Patton Oswalt has been cast as Baxter Sarno and though he does have interview scenes with Daniel and Amanda Graystone, Sarno mostly is seen in the background on TVs doing his monologues. From Hollywood Reporter 1/23/10: This episode introduces the recurring character of Baxter Sarno, host of "Backtalk with Baxter Sarno." Sarno is a late night host that blends the traits of Leno, Letterman and Jon Stewart with the "retro feel" of previous late night hosts. Clarice befriends Amanda in a bid to acquire Zoe's avatar program. Lacy and Keon meet Barnabas Greely (guest star James Marsters), who is a source of stress for Clarice. From TV Guide 2/28/10: John Pyper-Ferguson (BSG's Pegasus CAG Capt. Cole Taylor) has been cast as Daniel's rival, Tomas Vergis. From TV Guide 1/24/10: Tomas Vergis, who is Daniel's rival and was seen in pilot script drafts before being cut out, finally turns up in this episode.
