Boromir In The Two Towers:
Boromir appears in the opening of the film which flashes back to Gandalf's fall on the Bridge of Khazad-dûm in Moria.
In The Two Towers: Special Extended Edition:
Boromir appears in Faramir's flashback. Boromir is claiming victory in retaking Osgiliath. Their father, Denethor, the Steward of Gondor, arrives. He praises Boromir, but has nothing but scorn for Faramir, blaming him for the city's fall in the first place. Boromir tries to defend his brother, but Denethor will not hear it. Instead, he charges Boromir with going to Rivendell to attend a meeting that Elrond has called. Denethor has learned that it concerns the One Ring of Sauron. He wants Boromir to go and bring it back to Gondor and does not trust Faramir with such a task.
