Rollins is one of the rough woodsmen that Benjamin Martin had served with in the French and Indian War. He is the one that asks about spoils. Later, he is one of several men to shoot the surrendering British that prompts a confrontation between Gabriel Martin along with the idealistic farmers and Benjamin and the French and Indian War veterans.
In a deleted scene, Colonel Tavington's men have captured Rollis. He is offered gold by Tavington to reveal the militia's location, but he instead spits in Tavington's face. He then meets a bloody and painful fate offscreen.
