Veronica Mars is set in the wealthy, seaside community of Neptune , CA , where the rich and powerful make the rules. Unfortunatly for them, there's Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell), a smart, fearless 17-year-old apprentice private investigator dedicated to solving the town's toughest mysteries. Veronica used to be one of the popular girls, but it all came crumbling down around her after her best friend, Lilly, was murdered. When her then-sheriff father, Keith (Enrico Colantoni), named Lilly's rich father as the lead suspect, he was removed from his office and Veronica was ostracized by her friends including her boyfriend, Duncan Kane (Teddy Dunn), Lilly's brother. Now, Veronica spends her days as an average high school teenage girl, but at night she helps her father's struggling private investigator business-and what she discovers may tear the town of Neptune apart at the seams.
