Greek Prime Minister Costas Simitis expressed today his deep condolences to
President George W. Bush, in light of the devastating multiple terrorist attacks
in New York and Washington.
"I am deeply shocked by today's terrorist crime against your country. I
would like to express to you my sincere condolences, as well as the condolences
of the Greek government and of the Greek people to the American people, and
especially to the families of the victims," Simitis said in his telegram
to the White House.
"Greece condemns, most categorically, these horrific acts. We hope that
the culprits will be located and brought to justice immediately," he concluded.
