Act 3:
Sitting in her Viper, Kara shows Lee what she found. Lee agrees that it is a Colonial emergency locator signal. Kara says it's a signal from Earth. Lee is skeptical. Kara counters that someone is behind all of this, that it has a purpose and that they are supposed to find Earth with the four Cylons. Lee then tells D'Anna.

A Cylon heavy Raider heads for Galactica.

An Eight confirms the beacon, while D'Anna points out that it isn't much to go on. Le says that they could have taken the info and jumped, which would have led to another standoff. Instead he chose to do something different and share the information. He adds that he's grants amnesty to the four Cylons and that they have a choice to stay in the fleet or go. D'Anna considers what he says. She agrees to release the hostages and says that they'll all go to Earth together. Lee and D'Anna shake hands.

In Adama's quarters, he's still a mess. Lee shows him the coordinates and asks him for orders. Adama isn't interested in giving any. Then Roslin walks in. She tells Adama, "This is it, Bill. This is everything we have been working for." Adama gets up and wanders off. Lee comments that he's just ended the shortest presidential term on record. Roslin says that he's not done yet. She says that he did the right thing in a crisis and that the fleet is still going to need that leadership. Adama reappears, back in uniform. He wants to know if they are going to "flapping their lips or are they going to go to Earth?" Adama says that they need to head for Earth "as fast as we can."
