In Adama's quarters on Galactica, Lee looks through a book. Kara walks in and notices that he's looking at the Temple of Aurora, on Earth. Lee adds that it's, from the scrolls of Pythia. Kara notices Roslin's stuff. As we see Adama's empty chair, Lee tells Starbuck that no one sits in the Old Man's chair and that Tigh won't even look at it. Lee describes being afraid of facing that desk since he was a child. Starbuck recalls a conversation she had with Leoben where he said that for children to come into their own, the parents have to die.

On the Cylon baseship, D'Anna tells Roslin and Adama that she wants the Final Four. Roslin asks about the fifth, but D'Anna says that there are four. She's decided to hold the humans hostage until she gets the four Cylons. Adama pulls a gun and trains it on D'Anna. The Centurions point weapons at the pilots. Roslin tells Adama to stand down. He does so and orders his men to "stack arms." D'Anna says she's going to Galactica, and Adama is coming with her. He's not interested, but Roslin tells him to go. And as they hug, she tells him to do whatever it takes including "blow this ship to hell."

In CIC, Gaeta spills his drink. He fumbles with his metal crutches. Dee steps in and picks the cup up for him. Tigh asks Gaeta if he needs to be relieved, but Gaeta says that he's fine. Dradis comes on and Gaeta announces that the basestar has returned.

On Galactica's hangar deck, Lee, Starbuck, Tigh, and Tory move into position to greet a returning raptor.

Anders and Tyrol are on the catwalk in the shadows and they wonder if D'Anna will recognize them.

Back down on the hangar deck, Lee welcomes his father back. Lee says, "It's good to have you back." Adama replies, "It's good to be back." Tigh can be seen looking. D'Anna is standing at the Raptor's hatch opening. Tigh notices her. Tory then can be seen watching her. D'Anna walks off the Raptor. Anders and Tyrol can be seen watching from the catwalk. Adama and Lee turn to face D'Anna as Kara can be seen standing behind them. D'Anna announces that Roslin and the pilots are alive and well. Adama says that she wants the four Cylons in the fleet and will keep Roslin and the pilots hostage until then. D'Anna says that they don't have to do anything since she's already in contact with them. She continues that they now know that they have nothing to fear and that they are loved, they should find a way of joining her. She adds that she doesn't want them to "interfere with shuttle traffic." Lee asks, "So you're plan is to take these four Cylons and head off to Earth leaving us behind?" D'Anna answers, "That's up to them." Lee says, "Alright. If these four Cylons want to come to you, I won't stop them." D'Anna then asks Adama, "Do you agree with this, Admiral?" Adama answers, "Agreed." Tory suddenly says that Roslin needs her medication and wants to take it to her. Tigh doesn't want her to go, countering that they don't need more hostages. Tory responds that she's been by Roslin's side for two years. Adama says that one more hostage won't make a difference and Tigh has no choice but to concede.

In Adama's quarters, Starbuck, Lee, Tigh, and Adama discuss what to do. Lee wants suggestions. As he puts his admiral pins back on, Adama simply replies by saying its Lee's call as President. Lee then says, "If we lose those four, we lose Earth."
