Théodred:
- Son of Théoden, King of Rohan
- Cousin of Éomer and Eowyn
In The Two Towers:
Éomer finds Théodred severely wounded at the Fords of Isen after an ambush by Saruman's Uruk-hai. Éomer carries him to Edoras and openly blames Saruman which Gríma Wormtongue rebuffs. Eowyn tends to him as best she can, but he dies from his wounds. Théoden only becomes aware of his ill fate after Gandalf breaks Saruman's spell.
In The Two Towers Special Extended Edition:
Théoden buries his son alongside the past kings of Rohan.
