Television tried to capitalize on the Star Wars phenomenon and Battlestar Galactica was created. Unfortunately, the most expensive television series to have been produced up to that time only had moderately successful ratings. Thus, after one season, it was cancelled, to be revived in name only in 1980 and in a reimagined version in 2004. Now own on DVD the one and only epic season of this original series.
