7/25/05 - Battlestar Galactica Season 1 Region 1 DVD will be available September 20th. The five disc set will also include the Miniseries (pilot). 5/22/05 - This "reimagined" update of the classic '70's show became a ratings hit for the SciFi channel in January 2005. It's a science fiction show that often doesn't feel like a science fiction.show. Revised by former Star Trek producer Ronald D. 3/27/05 - Television tried to capitalize on the Star Wars phenomenon and Battlestar Galactica was created. Unfortunately, the most expensive television series to have been produced at the time only had moderately successful ratings. Thus, after one season, it was cancelled, to be revived in name only in 1980 and in a reimagined version in 2004. Now own on DVD the one and only epic season of this original series.
