'Kat' is one of the new recruits brought in when several Viper pilots are killed in a hanger deck accident on the Galactica. She, like the others, is initially washed out by Lieutenant Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace, but then reinstated. She joins Captain Lee 'Apollo' Adama in his part of the mission to destroy the Cylon mining base.
