Act 4:

Adama tells Tigh to "Go on." Tigh realizes that Adama wanted him to shoot him because Adama didn't have the guts to kill himself. He puts the gun down and says that he can't help Adama. He sits down as Adama continues to hold the gun to his head for a moment. Adama finally puts the gun down and reaches for the bottle. Tigh grabs the bottle says that he thinks they've both had enough. Adama drinks from the glass he'd already poured. Adama then tells a story about his uncle taking him fox hunting in the middle of the night because the foxes would get into his uncle's hen house. He said that the pack would catch the scent and worked as a team to drive the fox to the river. Half of the foxes would turn and fight, while the other half would try swim across the river. Then there were a few that got half way across the river and then rode the current all the way out to sea.

Tigh tells him that they can't go swim out to see and drown because he's the XO and Adama is the Admiral. He says that Adama shooting himself won't help Dee or anyone else in the fleet contemplating the same thing. He then grabs the gun and unloads both the clip and the bullet in the chamber.

On Colonial One, Lee updates the white board listing of survivors to reflect Dee's loss.

Kara walks in. Lee says that he heard that she lost the signal and couldn't find the source. She affirms that and says that she needs to talk and tell someone. Before she starts, she notices that Lee is upset. She wants to know what is wrong. He tells her about Dee. Kara says that she doesn't understand. Lee says that he doesn't either and that he'll never know because it's too late.

Adama makes his way through the corridors to Galactica CIC. Tigh is waiting and follows him in.

In Galactica CIC, Adama orders Hoshi to take Dee's position. He tells Gaeta to locate the nearest G, F or K starsystem. He then orders Hoshi to ask if the Cylons want to join the fleet.

As he moves to his position, Gaeta doesn't look happy.

Adama then picks up the wireless and gives a speech. He says that it's clear that they can't stay on Earth. He then recounts that the thirteen tribes did the same. They set out with only their ships and they preserved. He says that they will succeed.

Lee can be seen going through a box of Dee's belongings on Colonial One including the jacks.

Baltar listens as he with his harem.

Roslin is curled up on the floor as Adama talks.

On the planet, Tigh orders everyone to pack it up.

Tigh walks over to D'Anna and tells her to head for her ship because they are about to jump. D'Anna says that she's staying. She says that she wants to get off the "merry-go-round" because it's just going to happen again and again. She says that it beats running from Cavil, who'll kill them in the cold dark. D'Anna then asks him if he ever wants to stop fighting. He says that he thinks about riding the tide out to sea.

Tigh walks into the surguntil he's chest-deep. He hears someone calling him, puts his hand in the water and finds a piece of debris.

Flashback #2:
Tigh runs through a building as Ellen calls him. He finds Ellen partly buried under debris. He struggles to get her out as more bombs explode. She reassures him that it'll be alright because they'll be reborn again together. He smiles and then the room explodes

Tigh pulls his head out of the water and realizes that Ellen is the Fifth.
