In Galactica 's CIC, Colonel Tigh wants to know how much sleep Gaeta has gotten. Gaeta replies that he got a couple hours. Tigh responds that it's not enough sleep. Gaeta tries to say that he "naturally" doesn't get a lot of sleep. Tigh counters that Gaeta is nearly seeing "ghosts on the draedis." Tigh insists on Gaeta taking some leave. He tells Gaeta to "go to the Zephyr , get drunk and sleep for a week." Tigh ends the conversation by telling Gaeta that the shuttle leaves twice a day, so Gaeta better hurry. He then walks off.

Gaeta makes his way through the Galactica corridors walking on a prosthetic leg and a cane.

As he is about to open a door leading to the hangar deck, Lt. Hoshi catches up with him. He hands Geata a supply of morpha. Gaeta thanks him and starts to explain. Hoshi interrupts and tells him to go and feel better. He adds that he'll be waiting. They kiss. He says that he has to get back to CIC and leaves.

As a Raptor is prepped, Gaeta struggles to walk across the hangar deck.

A deckhand walks up behind Gaeta and Gaeta asks if he's "going to the 'Z' too." Specialist Brooks responds that he is, but on maintenance detail. After a moment, Gaeta then looks behind him which prompts Brooks to take a peek.

Two Eights, one in flight gear and one in civilian clothes, are walking up to the Raptor.

Seeing the Eights prompts Brooks to make a comment about 'skinjobs'. Gaeta gives him a look and then walks closer to the Raptor past Brooks and the Eights who have walked up. Gaeta stumbles and the civilian Eight reaches out to steady him as he climbs onboard the Raptor. The civilian Eight then climbs onboard, followed by the pilot Eight,

As they take their seats, the Raptor pilot Lt. J. 'Shark' Finnegan greets the passengers and tells them that they'll be arriving at the Zephyr in fifteen minutes. His co-pilot Ensign 'Easy' Esrin adds that there "will be no in-flight service" and so no drinking "unless you're willing to share with your flight crew." This joke prompts Gaeta to crack a bit of a smile.

The Raptor leaves Galactica is flies toward the Zephyr .

As flight chatter concerning the Raptor's approach to the Zephyr can be heard, the civilian Eight looks at Gaeta.

Pilot Eight seems to take notice and looks away with a bit of disgust.

In Galactica CIC, Lt. Hoshi reports Cylon contacts on draedis and calls for an emergency jump.

On the Raptor, Finnegan and Esrin immediately begin prep for emergency jump as Brooks asks if they can just get to the Zephyr before jumping. Esrin begins the countdown to jump and Finnegan gives the order.

The fleet jumps away with Galactica jumping last.

The Raptor jumps back to normal space alone.

Finnegan and Esrin look at each other.

The draedis shows 'JUMP COMPLETE' and no contacts.

Brooks, the Eights and Gaeta look around. Gaeta stands up, moves forward and asks, "Where's the fleet?"

Analysis:
  • Six days after discovering "a devastated Earth," Lt. Gaeta and Tigh are on duty in CIC.
  • In spite of the recent revelation that Tigh is a Cylon, he's already back on duty as Galactica XO.
  • Gaeta is back on duty in CIC. He's been fitted with a prosthetic leg and foot and is using forearm crutches to steady himself for walking, but is struggling to adjust.
  • Gaeta and Hoshi are involved in a relationship.
  • Morpha is hard to come by.
  • Hoshi has used contacts to secure some unprescribed morpha to help Gaeta with the pain of his injury.
  • Even after the disappointment of the joint discovery of Earth, the Cylon allies still have some freedom to move within the fleet.
  • The Civilian Eight seems unusually interested in Gaeta and Pilot Eight appears to be aware of and perturbed by Civilian Eight's interest.
  • According to Jane Espenson's podcast, this second set of webisodes was Seamus Kevin Fahey's idea, which was then approved by Ron Moore.
  • According to Jane Espenson's podcast, the webisodes were filmed at the same time as the telefilm, The Plan . They used sets just before they were being torn down.
  • According to Jane Espenson's podcast, Gaeta originally would have been involved with the Viper pilot Narcho which would have led to scenes of Narcho in his Viper searching for the Raptor. However, the actor was unavailable, so the switch to Hoshi was made.

Backstory:
  • Gaeta and Tigh are back on duty six days after the fleet's discovery of Earth. Gaeta is struggling to adjust to his injury and is not sleeping. This has prompted Tigh to order him to take leave on the Zephyr. Gaeta boards a shuttle along with a deckhand, two Eights and the Raptor's two-man crew. An emergency jump is called for and the Raptor ends up alone. Three days later, Gaeta is in bloody, but alive on the malfunctioning Raptor.

Cylons:
  • In spite of the recent revelation that Tigh is a Cylon, he's already back on duty as Galactica XO.
  • Even after the disappointment of the joint discovery of Earth, the Cylon allies still have some freedom to move within the fleet.
  • The Civilian Eight seems unusually interested in Gaeta and Pilot Eight appears to be aware of and perturbed by Civilian Eight's interest.

Notes:
  • Running time: ~4:00
  • The webisode is set six and nine days after episode 4.10 ("Revelations").
  • In what appears to be a continuity gaffe, Brooks doesn't board the Raptor since Gaeta is followed by the two Eights and the door closes behind Pilot Eight. Yet in the next scene inside the Raptor, he's onboard.

Unanswered Questions:
  • What do all the images mean?
  • What happened after they found Earth that the fleet is already on the move within six days?
  • How has Tigh returned to duty as Galactica XO so soon after the revelation that he's a Cylon?
  • How long have Gaeta and Hoshi been involved?
  • Why is the civilian Eight so interested in Gaeta?
  • Why did the Raptor end up alone after the jump?
  • What happened on the Raptor in the three days?
