Margaret 'Racetrack' Edmondson, Specialist Brooks, Civilian Eight, Lt. J. 'Shark' Finnegan, Ensign 'Easy' Esrin Cylons That Appear: Civilian Eight
Webisode 4 Recap:
Brooks says that he was just doing what she was doing.
Civilian Eight suggests that they check the pliers.
Gaeta picks up the pliers and finds that the insulated grip has been stripped off of the handle of the pliers. He asks, "Who did this?"
No one answers.
Brooks then takes the pliers and looks at them. He says the pliers are old and that the grip wore off.
Civilian Eight suggests that "someone didn't like a machine breathing their air."
Brooks counters that they were his pliers and that he was the one that was supposed to get killed.
Civilian Eight responds that he could have been the one that did it and asks why he didn't notice the bare metal.
Brooks wants to know what she's saying.
An argument starts to break out which Gaeta shouts down. He announces that it was an accident. He then asks what to do with the body.
Civilian Eight says to "jettison her." After her suggestion is met with silence, civilian Eight continues. She says that they "have to" and pull the air into the tanks. Finnegan points out that they would lose air. Civilian Eight continues that the body will start giving off methane and hydrogen sulfide. Esrin says "that's her loss." However, Gaeta says that civilian Eight is right that they need to dispose of the body.
As everyone is getting out flight suits, civilian Eight whispers to Gaeta that she has an idea of how to get them "home" and that she needs her help. She says that she'll tell him when the others are asleep and asks him to trust her. Gaeta doesn't respond. Civilian Eight takes out a flight suit, gives it to Gaeta and moves off.
Flashback #1:
Back on New Caprica, Gaeta is writing a list of names. He says that he hasn't seen some of them in a long time and that "they may already be." He breaks down before finishing. Civilian Eight says that the Ones keep good records and that if someone is locked up, she'll find them and get them out. She tells Gaeta that they can do it. Gaeta goes back to writing. Civilian Eight puts her hand on his arm and looks Gaeta in the eye and says, "Really."

Analysis:
Though the humans onboard the Raptor seem to think that Pilot Eight's death was an accident because the pliers were old, civilian Eight appears to believe that Pilot Eight was murdered.
Civilian Eight was not only passing information to Gaeta on New Caprica, but actively helping him. She said that she would work to get humans released.
In order to open the Raptor to space, there is some minimal air loss even though the air can be drawn back into the tanks.
Lt. Hoshi has been given Raptor 1029 piloted by Racetrack for his Search & Rescue mission.

Notes:
Running time: ~3:00
According to Jane Espenson's podcast commentary, costs and time constraints of shooting the same actress twice (Grace Park playing both Eights) necessitated Pilot Eight dying first.
According to Jane Espenson's podcast commentary, names on the list that Gaeta is writing in the New Caprica flashback are actually names of BSG crewmembers because no other names were cleared for use in the webisodes.
According to Jane Espenson's podcast commentary, she was busy on the set of the telefilm 'The Plan' (where she was acting as a producer) and didn't see filming of the New Caprica scenes or the scenes with Lt. Hoshi.
Unanswered Questions:
Even if the pliers were old and worn as Lt. Finnegan suggested, why didn't Brooks (or Pilot Eight for that matter) notice that the insulated grip was missing?
What is civilian Eight's plan for getting her and Gaeta home? And why doesn't she include the others?
Will Lt. Hoshi succeed in finding Lt. Gaeta?
