Major Cottle in Season One:
Major Cottle is the Galactica's cigarette smoking doctor. His first appearance is examining and then upbraiding President Laura Roslin for not having a regular exam. He recommends the stantard treatment for the cancer, but she says that she wants to try khamalla extract. He scoffs at the alternative treatment. Later, he again upbraids her for doubling the dosage, which caused a fainting spell. He also oversees Lieutenant Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace treatment for her knee injury.
