Eowyn In The Two Towers:
Eowyn is at Edoras, the capital of Edoras, when her brother Éomer arrives bearing a fatally wounded Theodred, son of King Théoden. After Gríma Wormtongue, King Théoden's advisor, banishes Éomer from Rohan under the pain of death, he comes to Eowyn and tries to gain her confidence, but she sees him for the traitor that he is.
Eowyn seems to be about to give up hope when Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas and Gandalf arrive at Edoras. Gandalf frees her uncle King Théoden from Saruman's spell. She find Aragorn to be a kindred spirit, but also learns of his love for Arwen. When Wargs attack near the White Mountains, Théoden asks her to lead the people to Helm's Deep. When the men reach Helm's Deep, she is saddened to learn that Aragorn fell into the river during the battle.
When Aragorn arrives at Helm's Deep, Eowyn is overjoyed, although the moment is tempered when she sees Legolas returning Arwen's Evenstar Pendant to Aragorn.
