Notes:

39,516 survivors. Five more have died. We know an Eight died of her injuries from the hull breach and we presume that is how the other four died.
What is usually the teaser, actually started after the opening credits and was much longer than the typical teaser. It was still a teaser in the sense that it was flashback-heavy, while the rest of the episode had far fewer flashbacks.
Previously unseen footage of civilians coming to the hangar deck as part of the evacuation as well as shuttle activity between the fleet and Galactica has been inserted into the "previously" recap footage at the start of the episode. This is the second time in the final ten episodes that this was done. It has been a reoccurring practice to insert unaired footage into "previously" recaps to take care of setting up some storylines to be seen in the episode.
An older child actress was used to portray Hera in the two part finale. Almost all of Hera's scenes previously have been with Tahmoh Penikett and Grace Park, so a rapport and security had developed. The older child actress was likely necessary because of the more pivotal role Hera plays in the finale.

Unanswered Questions:

What is it back on Caprica that Adama had to only spend an hour doing, but apparently found beneath him?
Where had Baltar picked up Caprica Six without even remembering her name? For that matter, where did Baltar find beautiful women that are willing to quickly go to bed with him even when other very attractive women (Caprica Six) are already in his house?
In his flashback, was drunken Lee returning from dinner with Kara and Zak? Or some other subsequent escapade with Kara?
In his flashback, what was the meaning/symbolism of Lee's being frustrated by the bird remaining in his apartment?
Who was Roslin's potential date, Shawn Ellison?
When she said "blast" was Paulla referring to the explosions caused by Boomer's jump and/or the hull breach on Galactica ? If so, why would that give Baltar's movement a push?
Will the apparently large influence of Baltar's movement in the fleet be how he'll come to lead humanity as Inner Six states he will write its "final chapter?"
Why is Hera continuing to draw the notes to the song? What else could be triggered by the song?
Will Boomer act on her sympathy to prevent any harm coming to Hera?
What will happen to the unclaimed pictures in the memorial corridor? Will a new memorial be set up elsewhere in the fleet?
Did Athena put up the picture of Hera in the memorial corridor?
How did Anders know where the Colony was?
Will Baltar's admission that he's never done a truly selfless act finally bring about a real change in him?
Will Helo and Athena's marriage survive in light of the tension between the two of them?
Did enough crew volunteer in order to be able to pilot Galactica ?
Why didn't Baltar volunteer even though he actually appeared to be torn?
Did Racetrack and Skulls volunteer for the recon mission or were they "persuaded?"
Will it turn out to be a one-way mission? Will the mission succeed?
Lastly, why were the flashbacks included when none of them appeared to directly resonate with the present storylines?
