The Lord of the Rings Middle Earth Places: The Argonath
The Argonath:
- Appears in The Fellowship of the Ring
The Argonath are two giant statues that were carved out of the cliffs along the River Anduin. They represent two ancient kings of Gondor. They used to welcome travelers to the outer borders of Gondor when its influence dominated Middle Earth. The Argonath stand near where the River Anduin opens into Nen Hithoel.
