Chetwood Forest:
- Appears in The Fellowship of the Ring
The Chetwood Forest lies to the northwest of Bree. Aragorn leads the Hobbits off the East Road into the Chetwood Forest soon after they leave Bree in order to avoid the Nazgûl as well as other spies. When he does so, the Hobbits question whether they can trust "this Ranger" because he is leading them into unknown territory. Frodo, however, has fully entrusted his fate to Aragorn and puts an end to the discussion.
