Boxey is orphaned by the Cylon attack on Caprica. He escapes as one of the children that evacuate onboard Sharon 'Boomer' Valerii's Raptor. Being an orphan herself, Boomer takes to looking after him. He appears to remain on Galactica, rather than moving to a civilian ship in the fleet.
Note: Two appearances in season one ended up on the cutting room floor.
