Deeping Wall:

- Defensive wall that protects the Deeping-Coomb
The deeping wall extends from the Hornburg to the mountainside opposite. It protects the Deeping-Coomb. During the battle of Helm's Deep, Aragorn commanded its defense with Gimli, Legolas, Haldir and the Elves. The wall was breached for the first time ever when Saruman's devilry exploited the wall's weakest point where the stream drained out of a culvert. Haldir fell before Aragorn could reach him. Théoden then ordered Aragorn to abandon the Deeping Wall and fall back to the Keep.
