The Lord of the Rings Middle Earth Places: Dimrill Dale
Dimrill Dale:
- Appears in The Fellowship of the Ring
Dimrill Dale is located outside Moria on the eastern side of the Misty Mountains. It looks down onto the edge of Lothlórien.
Dimrill Dale was where the remainder of the Fellowship take a moment to grieve following the fall of Gandalf with the Balrog at the Bridge of Khazad-dûm. While Frodo wandered down to the lake that helps give the Dale its beauty, Aragorn and Boromir have a small argument because Aragorn wants to immediately push. Boromir wants to give the Hobbits time to compose themselves, but Aragorn wants to push on and put some distance between them and Moria before nightfall and the Orcs venture out of Moria.
